Claire Lovett won the Vancouver Lawn Tennis and Badminton Club title a total of 16 times between 1945 and 1967. She won the Canadian Ladies’ Singles Badminton Championship in 1947 and 1948 and was the ladies’ doubles badminton champion in the same years.
In 1963, Claire won the Canadian Mixed Doubles Open Badminton Championship and in 1973 and 1974, the Canadian Senior Ladies’ Doubles Badminton Championship. She also won the Western Canada Grass Court Mixed Tennis Doubles in 1952 and the Canadian Senior Ladies’ Tennis Singles title in 1966.
Lovett was a versatile athlete, excelling at basketball, ice hockey, field hockey, athletics and baseball.
