More Than Pompoms, The Story of Rider Cheerleading 

More Than Pompoms, The Story of Rider Cheerleading explores the 65-year history of Saskatchewan Roughrider cheerleading through uniforms, memorabilia, photographs, and the voices of those who lived it. More than a celebration of sideline spirit, this exhibition recognizes cheerleaders as ambassadors, athletes, and community builders whose energy helped shape the game-day experience for generations of Saskatchewan fans. By bringing together artifacts from across the decades alongside recorded oral histories, the exhibition seeks to preserve memories that might otherwise be lost and highlight the friendships, traditions, and shared experiences that exist beyond the stadium lights. Visitors are invited not only to reflect on the evolution of Rider cheerleading, but to become part of its ongoing story through an interactive listening station, ensuring that the legacy of Rider cheerleaders continues to inspire future generations.

The Hall of Fame spoke with former Rider cheerleaders from different eras – including Carol Gay Bell, Linda Allen-Hardisty, and Stacey Schewaga – whose interviews are on display in the exhibit and featured below.
