The Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame currently has over 12,500 artifacts in its permanent collection. The challenge is to get as many of these objects on exhibit as possible at any given time. With our available gallery space it can be doubly challenging.
Our newest exhibit will be showcasing some of our rarely seen and somewhat curious objects and collections. Among the sports to be featured through “treasures from the vault” will be rodeo, horse racing and equestrian, lacrosse, baton twirling, ringette and broomball. Among the collections will be trophies spanning eighty years; the “wild” world of Game mascots; and the unusual world of the travelling wrestling show.
From September 29, 2014 to January 30, 2015 delve into some of the most unusual, the most extraordinary and the most interesting artifacts the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame has to offer.
It’s out of vault and out of the ordinary.
