The Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame will be part of the inaugural Frost festival in Regina.
Frost runs from Feb 4-13 with events happening downtown, on the Exhibition Grounds, in Wascana Park and the Warehouse District.
On Saturday, Feb. 5 the SSHF will host three-time Olympic gold medal-winning hockey player Colleen Sostorics at the tent on the City Square Plaza. She will be on hand from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to meet fans, share stories about her Olympic experience and sign some autographs — pens and autograph sheets will be provided. The Plaza also features a small skating rink, so bring your skates and enjoy the full Frost experience!
Across the park in the Hall of Fame itself (at 2205 Victoria Avenue) the SSHF is welcoming inductees Ted Jaleta and Kim Bergey Kaip. The SSHF is open from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday. You can join Ted, Kim and other guests are they test their physical skills on our STEM Interactive Gallery sponsored by SaskTel and on our multi-sport simulator. Measure your ability to go live the Olympic motto and go “higher, faster, stronger” and challenge friends and family — or maybe even an Olympian — and compare your scores.
There will also be a story corner where one of our inductees will read to younger visitors.
