Launch of New Responsive Website and Enhanced Visitor Experience

The SSHF is pleased to announce our newest All Star Sponsors, Command Base Creative Design and Information Services Corporation (ISC), who together are reimagining our visitor experience.

Command Base, comprised of Andy Keith and Corbin Fraser, has worked with the SSHF since 2011. This company has been the vision behind our 2012 rebranding and original website redevelopment. With a couple of years under our belt the SSHF had a better understanding of how we wanted our website to support programming and the ongoing digitization project. We also knew that we needed to have a responsive website to keep up with today’s savvy tech users. Through the financial support of Command Base we have been able to achieve our reconfigured and responsive website.

As the safe keeper of important historical documents themselves, ISC has a complex understanding of what the SSHF has undertaken with our recent, and ongoing, digitization project. Funding provided by ISC has allowed us to start the process of incorporating interactive technology into our visitor experience through the purchase of iPad/iPillar combos. A key player in bringing this sponsorship to fruition is ISC’s President and CEO, Jeff Stusek. A board member of the Saskatchewan Roughrider Football Club since 2010, Jeff has seen first-hand how effective the collections agreement is between the SSHF and the Roughriders, resulting in our being the official repository of the team’s permanent collection. The SSHF’s success in collecting, interpreting and preserving 103 years of team history was a major consideration in Jeff’s decision to support the organization through his corporate ties.

Commencing with our launch on March 26, two interactive stations will be located in the Hall of Fame Gallery and one station can be found in our feature exhibit gallery space. These stations will provide visitors with an enhanced experience as they delve further into Saskatchewan’s sporting greats than what our limited physical exhibit space can support.

The SSHF is most grateful for the financial support provided by Command Base and Information Services Corporation which has allowed the vision to become a reality. ISC has a legacy of supporting organizations that preserve Saskatchewan’s rich cultural history and instill pride in the province.

Together we are bringing Saskatchewan’s rich sport heritage to life.
